Gulfport police seek suspect in Sunday's attempted kidnapping of 13-year-old girl - Mississippi Press (blog)


GULFPORT, Mississippi -- The Gulfport Police Department is requesting the public's assistance in solving the crime of attempted kidnapping, according to a department news release.




On Sunday at 2:30 p.m., the Gulfport Police Department responded to an address on 43rd Street in reference to a reported attempted kidnapping.




Upon arrival, it was learned that an unknown white male suspect arrived at the victim's residence and rang the doorbell. When the 13-year-old female victim opened the door, the suspect grabbed the victim by her arm and attempted to pull her through the doorway.


The victim fought by kicking the suspect who then fled the residence on foot.




The suspect was described as a white male 25-35 years of age with an unknown height and weight. The suspect had a blonde or red beard and was wearing a faded yellow baseball style cap and a purple shirt with black writing.
