Authorities: Gulfport bar owners sought to buy 'China White' - Mississippi News Now


GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - Court records show three South Mississippi residents have been arrested on federal charges accusing them of conspiring to buy a kilo of "China White" heroin to sell out of a Gulfport bar.


Federal authorities say 34-year-old Carlos Miller, 31-year-old Julie Michelle Glass and 33-year-old and Randall Sheffield are accused in the conspiracy to sell the high-grade heroin out of the Ice Daiquiri Lounge.


The Sun Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1y4AfNx ) all three have pleaded not guilty on Tuesday. Magistrate Judge Robert H. Walker ordered all three held without bond pending grand jury review of the case for indictment.


It was unclear whether those arrested have attorneys.
