GULFPORT, Mississippi — A jury will be back to federal court in Gulfport Monday to deliberate the case against two Alabama men charged in eight armed bank robberies from 2008 and 2012.
Prosecutors say Randy Laverne Marshall and Keith Anthony Kiel, both from the Mobile area, were allegedly the ringleaders of a conspiracy to rob eight banks at gunpoint, wearing masks and using stolen vehicles as getaway cars.
The vehicles, stolen from South Alabama, were found abandoned near the banks.
Prosecutors say the robberies were in Biloxi, Gautier, Gulfport and Ocean Springs, two in Moss Point, and one each in Greenville, Alabama, and Pensacola, Florida.
The Sun Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1mJGTWS ) co-defendants Reginald Martez Robinson and Lamarcus Deshon Moore have each pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge. They are held for sentencing.
